October 22, 2006

| Angel Flight America Racing, the newly formed relationship between Tim Stephens Racing and Angel Flight America (see 10/16/06 article) made a semi-public debut at the 2006 National Business Aviation Association's 59th annual meeting and convention in Orlando on October 17-19. 33,000 people attended the convention over the three-day period where 1,140 Exhibitors covered the nearly 1,000,000 square feet of floor space. Touted as "a year's worth of business in just three days," the annual NBAA convention is the center of information, recognition, and showcase of products and services of the entire business aviation industry. One of the event's biggest news makers was Piper Aircraft's entry into the Very Light Jet market with the unveiling of PiperJet, which made the front of The Wall Street Journal that day. |
| Angel Flight America was displayed in a 300 square foot exhibit near the center of the hall which was shared with SAAB, a national supporter and partner of the Angel Flight cause. Of the material made available to those in attendance was the announcement of Angel Flight America Racing as well as the marketing opportunities it presents to firms inside and outside the aviation industry. |
| "NBAA 2006 was a great platform to announce and market Angel Flight America Racing. Our decision to introduce our new partnership in front of the leaders of the $900 billion industry may turn out to be priceless," commented Tim Stephens upon returning from the event. "The convention hall was enormous and filled with exhibitions from the world's top aviation companies. The opportunity not only to attend, but to be a part of it promoting Angel Flight America Racing was an extremely productive tool for the team." |
| Along with Tim and John Stephens from the race team, representing Angel Flight America were Theresa Dorr'e, Executive Director, Tom Powers, Chairman, and Steve Patterson, Director of the Mid-Atlantic region. |
| "Angel Flight America is such a great cause and everyone in aviation knows of their operations and network of over 7,000 volunteer pilots. It was a pleasure to kick off our relationship by introducing the motorsport element to their brand in this manner," Tim explained. |
| "Racing and business aviation are a fine fit for each other. The most common question asked at the convention was 'how fast do you go and what's it like?' How do you respond to that to someone who regularly travels in a jet at 400 mph? My best explanation: accelerate to 175 mph in your plane, but instead of taking off, slam on the brakes, make a u-turn at the end of the runway at 80 mph, then proceed to do it over again in the other direction!" joked Tim. |
| After the official announcement of Angel Flight America Racing, the group now focuses on developing marketing partners and sponsors for the team's participation the 2007 Rolex Sports Car Series. |
