| Tim Stephens Racing and Tom Lapham's Auto Stop Racing of Washington, DC will again team up to compete in the 7th running of the 12 Hours at the Point endurance race at Summit Point Raceway on June 4. Tim has competed with Lapham in nine endurance events ranging from 3 to 24 hours long. Their best finishes include a win in a 3 hour race at Summit Point, a second place in a 6 hour at Texas World Speedway, and a third place in the inaugural 12 Hours at the Point. Tim and Tom return together this year to share driving duties in the Auto Stop Mazda RX-7 in the Improved Touring 'S' category. |
| While this announcement is made, there is, however, no guarantee of race entry. 55 cars will start the race which 95 teams have submitted entries for. A lottery was held to determine which teams will get those 55 places while the rest are put on waiting list "bubble" status. As teams withdraw their entries in the time leading up to the race, the bubble teams are elevated into race entry. The Auto Stop team is currently on the bubble list. |

| "I love this race and it is a great deal of fun for everyone involved. Each year the competition has gotten tougher and tougher to the point that it is almost a professional race," Tim commented on this year's involvement. "This will be our sixth year running the race with Tom [Lapham], and although it may not even be know if we are, in fact, in the race until the day of it, we will still be there 100% prepared to run and win." |
| Note: This is the first year that the lottery system was used to determine the field in order to ensure a variety of teams and cars. Race information can be found at www.12hoursatthepoint.net. |
